Untold History : Taman Syorrrgaaa Alkaff Yang Hilang

Almost 100 years ago, diselatan tanahair.. terdapat satu taman yang amat indah gemilang

Taman seluas 19 ekar tersebut kepunyaan keluarga Alkaff, the prominent Arab traders in Singapore.  

Taman Syorrrgaaa 

Taman tersebut dibina utk keluarga Alkaff pada 1927, and then open for public in 1929. Landscapenya bercirikan Taman Jepun seperti di Istana Besar Johor Bahru.. AND.. architectnya jugak dari diimport khas dari Jepun.  Kesemua bukit-bukit dan tasik ditaman itu adalah manmade.. mengikut citarasa Alkaff.  

In it heyday, it become centre of attraction in Singapore.. semua penulis British terkenal pada zaman itu selalu memuji taman alkaff dalam karya mereka, much sough than botanical Garden and more beautiful than Taman Istana Tyersall milik HH Albert Baker (which is abandoned in 1905).

Taman tersebut terselamat semasa pendudukan dan bom jepun.. kerana pihak Jepun suka akan kejepunan taman itu.

Tapi, lepas perang... Taman itu terbiar.. lalu keluarga Alkaff terpaksa menjualnya utk menyambung perniagaannya yg kerugian sebab perang.

Dibeli oleh Sennet utk dijadikan residential housing.  from Period 1949 sehingga 1964.. saki baki taman tersebut masih ada... then,  pada 1964.... bukit-bukit taman itu ditarah rata dan digunakan utk menimbus tasik tersebut bagi laluan pembinaan sebuah Sekolah dan Padang

Sejak itu.. Taman Syorrrgaaa ini hilang tanpa dapat dikesan.

CALIPH TRADITION

Membaca khutbah... between 2 khutbah ade doa attribute to Sultan adalah tradisi kerajaan Khalifah Islam..... diwarisi daripada kerajaan Abbasid, Fatimids... dan terus ke Uthmaniyah....

Hampir kesemua kerajaan Khalifah2 Islam menggunakan khutbah utk mendoakan Khalifah2nye.. tak kire sape.. named it.. daripada yang Abd. Rahman Agung... sampai ke Timerlane Yang Kejam... semua mempraktikkan tradisi yang sama... - mendoakan Khalifah



takde kaitan pun dorang perangai alim ke jahanam ke.. cume orang2 melayu liberal jee yang anggap klu doa mesti kene jadik alim

While dekat sini pulaak...... tradisi mendoakan Khalifah.. pertame kali digunepakai semase pemerntahan HH Albert Baker of Johore... di sebut nama khalifah.. bersama2 dengan penaung nya khalifah Uthmaniah masa itu.. 






sehingga dipinda pada tahun 1924 sejak jatuh kerajaan Khalifah Uthamaniah.. tetapi dikekalkan bagi Sultan2 Negeri Johor.. sebagai penyambung tradisi khalifah itu.

Dan.. seterusnya ditiru oleh negeri2 Melayu lain

Sambungan dari "Chikago Konnection 1893"..  these set on 1939.. 93 and 39.. how significant.. 

In 1893.. HH Albert Baker built a small palace in Chicago Exposition

Now.. set on 1939, 46 years after the 1st exposition... this magnificent pavilion was built by American builders and supervised by Dato' Onn Jaafar which stayed for 6 months in US mase tu. 














HH Ibrahim takde.. but he comes later mase penutup during his official visit to President Roosevelt.. mase ni jugak laa kluanye cite dia bercouple dgn Mae West had he had been seen dining with prominent Chicago mobs, yg ni aku cite lain kali je. 




Built at cost of $100,000.00 zaman tu, 1,000,000,000 visitors visited the Johore pavillion, including foreign dignitaries termasuk presidents and kings.

Untold History : Secret of Johore State Emblem Decoded

Imagine this... If you working with Johor State Government, and in 1 unlucky day you are mistakenly wrote the prefix or name of your Director.. let alone Sultan himself... much more worst if you mistakenly drew the wrong State Emblem.. I quite sure you'll be vanished from the State.. 

But not in this case.. person whom redraw the Johor State Emblem was free, infact, he might enjoy his retirement by now.. because, none of the Johore state officers aware of their mistake done for more than 100 years ago.... 

Now... THE POPULAR BELIEF :

These is the Standard Johor emblem.. used in Official Letterhead, Government Offices and Websites.. 





even in JB State HQ..




While... these are the ORIGINAL TIGER Emblem used sometimes between 1886 to 1930's:

1 had 2 claws.. the other one had no claws.... again.. Jata ni handrawed sometimes in 1860's, used dalam buku Muta'al Badrain :



1 had 2 claws... the other one had 3 claws... both tigers had uneven claws.... again... State Emblem made for JMF Uniform, predated 1900's:



Earliest paintings and drawings depicted this Tigers, one of which was short of 1 leg/claws or deform claws...  Not because they were some drawing mistakes.. but PURPOSELY drew like that 

but.. look at here.. our current Jata officially adopted by State Government:



Some idiots may think our forefathers don't know how to draw tiger claws.. because all ancient painting were uneven... so.. they redraw both tigers to have 3 claws evenly. Unknown to these idiots, there are some story behind these crippled tigers.  

ORIGIN OF 2 TIGERS

Few of us from Johor familiar with story of "Dengkes" and "Tepok".. of of these tigers which 1 was crippled 1 leg short... tempang.

Few chronicles said that they've roamed along the east coast of Johore sometimes 1880's to 1940's... Harimau Tempang... these story paved their ways to the throne of Johore in 1855..

It is said that few buildings and istana, built sometimes 1860's to 1900's... there were claws mark in the wet cement, each of them were uneven footstep of the tigers, or .. 3 legged creatures 

For few of us that has opportunity to inspect the throne room... they'll find out that these throne was designed with 4 tiger legs grabbing the globe... if they looks closely.. one of these tiger legs was deformed.... purposely made that way, to immortalize the Harimau Tepok history during the nation buildings. 



Now.. Yayasan Warisan Johor and State Government.. get you lazzzzyyyy asssss and change back the emblem before Tepok chew your stinkin' asssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Untold History : The Lost Istana Merak in Uncharted Map

Listed in the 10 most haunted places in Singapore.. story of vanishing Istana Merak is remains unsolved. Dikatakan.. wujud somewhere di Pulau Tekong Singapore... inherited from.. there were 2 version of this stories.. : 1.  Istana Sultan Johor 2.  Istana Sultan Pahang Reference "X" mengatakan... milik Sultan Johor.. dengan reference beberape kubur2 lama milik kerabat from Telok Blangah fraction yg dibongkar dan dipindahkan ke Taman Abadi. But.. reference "Y" mengatakan... milik Sultan Pahang.. dgn reference beberapa catatan lama dari Hikayat Perang Pahang Versi No. 1 dan perkampungan kerabat Tun Ahmad/Tun Mutahir semasa tinggal di Singapore..... lebih 20,000 orang Pahang dibawa ke Johor ketika itu.. some of them resides here in Pulau Tekong Aku pecaye... the 2nd reference.. iaitu Milik Sultan Pahang.. kerana.. kerabat2 sebelah Tun Ahmad ramai yg berpindah ke Pulau Tekong semasa Perang Bendahara... Jawapannye: Sudah jadik adat kesultanan Johor.. menghantar kerabat2 mereka menjaga mukim2 yang jauh.. keturunan2 Ungku Majid dihantar ke Endau... Few others ke Batu Pahat dan Muar... sebagai vessel kepada Sultan LOCATION: Ade 2 possibilities: Bersebelahan Masjid Abu Bakar lama... sometimes in 1960's mesjid ni wujud lagi.. and.. 2nd... Disini.. marked with "Abandoned House".. just northeast of Masjid Abu Bakar. When comes to Pahang lineage.. kemungkinan besar Istane tu bentuk dia mcm ni kot.. PLAUSIBLE FACT Beside dubbed as the 10 most haunted places... sampaikan.... reserve unit tentera Singapore dilarang keras membuat rondaan pada malam Jumaat.. sehingga ke hari ini atas beberapa kes misteri yg menimpa askar2 mereka. Thru many years... mainstream cults reported the haunted phenomenon due to existence of hantu Jepun.. or Hantu Cina.. whilst.. bile di fikir2 kan.... kehilangan penduduk kampung Pahang dengan kejadian2 aneh setiap Malam Jumaat - yg biasa associated dgn budaya Melayu... x munkin kerja hantu cine or hantu Jepun But.. itu yg dorang nak kite pecaye... Malay has no place even dalam cerita2 dorang.. Tempat ini jugak SEKARANG become UNCHARTERED MAP.. tidak berpeta.. hinggakan hilang semua nama kampung2 melayu.. dan kontur landscape juga diubah.
