Untold History : The Tall Tales of Gulom Leydam

One of the most celebrated mountain in history... inked its reputation from the time of Solomon in 900 B.C, written in Hebrew's Old Testament, then continue to the time of Tun Sri Lanang..  its reputation in parallel with other holy mountains like Mount Moriah, Jabal Nur, Mount Sinai etc.

In comparison ; The story itself dwarf the other mountains like Gunong Tahan, Gunong Kinabalu, Gunong Jerai dan Gunong Genting Highland.. for it had been recorded for more than 5,000 years.

EL-OPHIRAH

In short, aku malas nak refer dgn bende2 yg korang biase dengar.. aku cuba simplify kan data ni supaye korang senang pikir:

4,000 years ago, Old Tastement mencatatkan :

Timeline dia sekitar 2,973 tahun + 493 tahun more or less penulisan Old Tastement. So.. dalam bab "Kings" mengisahkan pemerintahan Nabi Sulaiman in 973 B.C.

Ok.. let's scrutinize apa yang Old Tastetament cakap :

Gold here, gold there.. ade 2 source where Solomon dapat Emas :

1. Hadiah dari Queen Sheeba
2. From Hiram

Then, selepas itu.. Emas dari Ophir dilapurkan sudah kehabisalullazi.. due to excessive mining mungkin utk keperluan King Solomon

While, sejarah pelayaran Moriah to Ophir pulak :

1. Selepas diterima hadiah King Hiram pulak.. di ambil dari "Ophir"... then, Nabi Sulaiman menyuruh orangnya belayar bersama King Hiram.. 3 TAHUN SEKALI.. to Ophir, untUk mengambil Emas, DAN Kayu "Almug" bagi pembinaan Kuil Solomon

2. Kapal dari "Tharsis".. tempatnya Mount Ophir, belayar ke Ezion Geber mengimport Emas kpd Nabi Sulaiman

So.. ade 2.. dia pergi sendiri dgn kapal King Hiram + kapal dari "Ophir" yang datang belayar sendiri ke Ezion Geber.. tanah jajahan Solomon.

Now.. let's do some literature review :

Issue dekat sini.. kite x pernah decipher clue2 yang ade dalam Old Tastement = sebab.. mentaliti orang Melayu.. bile dengar "Old Tastement" je.. terus takut nak selidik.. dalam hotak cakap itu kitab Kristian.. bace boleh jadik murtad

So.. bermakna jugak.. PERLAYARAN yang diambil dari "Tharsis" ke Moriah sepanjang 3 tahun pergi dan balik.. 

Tambah dan tolak, mase berrehat, masa top-up bekalan dan air = adalah 2 tahun lah kire2 of full voyage.. 

So.. tempat yang memerlukan 1 year full voyage :

1. Afrika tak mungkin
2. Europe tak mungkin
3. Brasil pun tak mungkin, sebab.. clue nye ada dibawah ni

So, it's left Aurea Chersonese, India and Philipines.. so.. ape chroniclers lain cakap :

1. Cyrus Gordon = Relate "Tharsish" daripada perkataan Semitic Kuno = translated into Greek as "Thalasos".. bermakna "Laut"

Perlayaran armada Tharsis dimajukan oleh angin Timur.. kalau dari Brazil.. dorang gostan balik x boleh berlayar utk sampai ke Moriah, land of Solomon.

Now.. kite dah boleh conclude.. Tharsis :

• Berada di Timur
• Berada dalam jarak 3 tahun perjalanan pergi balik
• Berlayar menggunakan Angin Timur
• Tharsis ada "navy" nya sendiri.. or armada perlayaran

But who???

So.. ko dah bace dari atas kan.. they concluded that, daripada 2 source berlainan, one Hebrew.. the other one King Courts of Pharoah.. :

Untold History : Pirate of Karribian III : Who The P?

Posting kali ni akan buat ramai yang tak boleh duduk diam.. and many would say "what the P?".. but, in the end.. something is best left forgotten.. let your curiosity kill you.

Ai'te.. if you familiar with "Pirate Carrebean" connection with Malay antiquity yang pernah aku published dulu2, then copied and reposted berkali2 oleh berlainan blogger claiming credit.. lantak dorang lah.. but for sure, setakat itu je lah dornag tau, dorang tak tau ape yang aku tau... heheheee

Aku rase... aku dapat identified dimana kapal Jack Sparrow berkubur and sape dia sebenarnye... 

Let's recap :

To conclude this case, kite perlukan pelakun utama.. character "Jack Sparrow" was unknown sampai sekarang.. so.. ramai yang cakap aku mengarut..

BUT, in the movie itself dah dibagitau dengan NYATA.. that kalau ko tak kenal "Jack Sparrow".. ko boleh check dengan :

So, for somebody yang tak kenal Jack... boleh check letter "P" branded in his arm. That is Jack Sparrow, one and only. 

It was 'secretly' show in the movie, even dialogue nya pun tidak dinyatakan why kena branded except 1 line : "Jack has a little run with the East India Company"..

So.. ape kaitannye kan????

This "P".. is mysterious mark of unknown ship sunk near Pulau Aur, Mersing Johor.. detail nya ada di "Untold History : The Cursed Canons of Pulau Aur"

So.. missing link dia :

In 1849.. JT Thompson reported that.. 1 canon in house of tribal leader of Pulau Aur

In 1948.. CA Gibson Hill reported that.. 4 more canons buried at coast of Pulau Aur

In 1860's.. Pahang Chronicle reported that.. Tun Ahmad taken 4 canons to Kota Beram Pakace.. which 2 lost at sea.  

In 1982.. HMS Raja Jarom Frigate = ordered to take 3 canons.. 1 were left at Pulau Aur 

To sum everything.. :

1 + 4 + 4 + 3.. total of 11 canons in Pulau Aur  

But.. record in 1948 saying 4 canons.. while HMS Raja Jarom reported that in 1982 only 3 canons.. who take another 1 canon?? 

Semua orang melapurkan 'banyak' cannon di Pulau Aur.. di jumpai tak jauh dari pantai.. dari unknown shipwreck in undisclosed location..

Takde sape tau origin kapal tu.. almost nobody know kecuali penduduk kampung tu yang cakap ade kapal dulu tersadai tak jauh dari pantai..

BUT...

Bila aku traced kesemua location meriam tu.. something not right.. part of the report aku post kan di sini :  "Untold History : Unsolved Cases of Meriam Phuake"

Meriam yang dilapurkan oleh JT Thompson, CA Gibson dan lain-lain.. bukanlah bertanda "F".. but "P"

NOW.. most of you began to think kan???? what's the connection...

That "P" is not a mark.. but "brand" of something that belong to the original Captain Jack Sparrow.. macam brand LV, or Levis etc.. it was 'brand' belong to 1 entity and 1 entity only.. takde LV 2 or Levis 4.. semua Levis and LV adalah same.. 1 brand.

To answer that.. kite kene carik other ancient artifact buried deep in the sea branded with "P" then only we can connect the missing link in our history..  Jumpa "P".. jumpe lah sape sebenarnye "Jack Sparrow"

Untold History : GILDED AGES - Johore State Pavilion Resurrected in Putrajaya this May

Resurrected in Putrajaya on 23, 24 and 25 of May 2014. Be there as I would be there. See ya!

I owed this planning success to Head of Division - Social Development of IRDA whose has done remarkable efforts and ideas which soon be immortalized in the sand of times.

Dalam banyak2 orang yang aku buat keje, this are the few yang betul2 kerja, less talk more works. The right guy that demonstrate power and influences to makes thing happen for benefit of public. My 3rd underground projects initiated by this Man, one after "Kilang Purba" and "Istana Runtuh" in my previous posting.

And also to JOHO Konsep teams and crews whose ideas is far reach unimaginable boundaries of mental state of normal people. Obviously, dorang memang awesome.

Me? I just a simple guy living like a rockstar hit by boredome of everyday business. Obviously I need a hobby yang sihat rather than lepak at Chili's Restaurant at Citta Mall everyday with my crazy partners yang dah memang crazy and kayeraye sampai tak keje.


PAVILION RESURRECTED

Idea of having pavilion erected in foreign land is maybe obsolete these days with Internets and other borderless information highways right on your fingertip.

BUT, 200 tahun dulu.. whose privileges to travel abroad only reserved for wealthy educated colonist and criminals (as ship's slave), Pavilion is the most ideal medium to introduce you to the whole world.


1st Pavilion

Set in 1862 A.D.. The INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF 1862 UK

Earliest exhibition dihantar oleh Johore, even sebelum dibuka bandar Johor Bahru and Istana Besar pun belum siap.

That time, Johore and other FMS cuma hantar product shipped via British Representatives.  No direct involvement, cuma display.

BUT, what more interesting berkaitan tentang negeri Johor dalam exhibition ni ialah.. bukan ape yang dorang hantar sane.. but.. ape yang dorang BAWAK BALIK :

This is huge collection of silvers by Hunt & Roskell. Half of this treasures was bought by HH Abu Bakar and now stored at Istana Besar. Lebih2 cerite korang boleh selak series of "Lost Treasure of HH Albert Baker" kt blakang2 blog ni.


2nd Pavilion

2nd Pavilion took place in 1867 A.D at Paris Universalle 

Sama macam tahun 1862, Johore masih belum participated directly.  Cume hantar specimens thru dia punya sub-ordinate GLC operating abroad.


3rd Pavilion

In 1887 A.D.. ADELAIDE JUBILEE EXHIBITION Australia

I've seen the real picture but that damn antique dealer pressing me gilebabi punye price lepas dia dapat tau ini blog aku punye.  But, i had a glimpse of what they have built in 1887 :

This one managed by Dato' Meldrum as royal representative to Australian Government.

is actually the same map macam yang tergantung dekat dalam Pavilion Adelaide ni.. but somehow, somebody put the wrong date in the reprinted map (1907) while the original was drew on 1887 or earlier mcm dalam posting pasal Dato' Salleh Perang yang lepas.


4th Pavilion

Dibina pada tahun 1893 AD.. in WORLD COLOMBIAN EXPOSITION. Consisted 3 buildings in the same vicinity.

This is where "Wau" dan "Congkak" getting coverage by National Geographic Society which later enlisted them as permainan rakyat otherwise sapu by Samoan which happened to have same congkak.

This pavilion managed by Dato' Said something aku lupe. From Telok Blangah Office.

Other interesting story pasal Exhibition ni ia lah :

An official invitation from HH Abu Bakar to General John C Smiths, unknown figure of US Official. Well, mystery still linger of this WhoTF is this General John C Smiths is and the Sultan not even attending this event!!!!! whattttttttttt????


5th Pavilion

At CENTURY OF PROGRESS WORLD'S FAIR CHICAGO, 1933 A.D 

While this one pulak, HH Ibrahim did not asked Johore State Government to participate.. but, influenced his friend Frank Buck to built him the "Jungle Camp"

Dia datang exhibition ni with his wife and merasmikan Exhibition ni

Dalam Jungle Camp's Frank Buck showcased banyak bende dari Johore :

Thus I consider Johore were directly participated in 1833.. the success of Jungle Camp bring idea to HH Ibrahim to participate in the upcoming Exposition in 1939.

6th Pavilion

The GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION US

Constructed in 1937. Johor State is the 1st pavilion constructed in the Treasure Island.

Managed by Dato' Onn Jaafar for 6 months. Lebih2 cerite korang boleh bace kat blakang. 

Next pavilion is on 23rd May at Putrajaya. Hahahaaaaa
