Briefed account on his visit to Japan in 1883 and his relation with Meiji's Court has never been recorded by local and British sources.. except in Hikayat Perlayaran Abu Bakar yg sebut sikit2 je, in which I doubt masih wujud lagi naskah ini

However...  a journal from Shingetsu Institute has disclosed the untold insight of the remarkable visit based on newspaper excerpt and Japanese government records gathered from 1883 - 1887

Seringkas yang boleh :

His name and banner was unknown to Japanese.  Press mereka melapurkan yang Sultan Melaka telah mendarat.. senang cakap.. creating confusion how to address him and from where he came from..

Keraiannya oleh kerajaan Jepun same macam keraian yang diberikan kepada mana2 Western Dignitary of State.

Well.. total days is about 80 to 90 long days he stay in Japan.

Outkomes

  2. Tuan, tiada pernah berlaku seorang maharaja bertukar menjadi sultan. Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar utk Kesultanan Johor, Riau dan Lingga tdk pernah menjadi maharaja. Jadi Sultan Johor yg mana dibicarakan? Byk sejarah telah dipesongkan oleh orang yg tidak bertanggong jawap.
